Gaeilgeoir began when a colleague asked us how to help their child with Irish, and we couldn't find the right tool. Today we're building the best way to learn Irish, for learners from every walk of life, whenever and wherever they want.

Our Story
Why we built Gaeilgeoir.
Gaeilgeoir didn't start with technology. It started with a colleague, their child and a question we couldn't answer.
- 01 The question
A colleague came to us, worried.
Their child was learning Irish at school, and they wanted to help. But Irish homework brought more anxiety than answers: they weren't sure how words should sound, whether they were getting it right, or where to even begin.
- 02 The search
We went looking for the right tool.
We searched online for something we could recommend. What we found felt limited: very little that made Irish easy to hear, practise out loud and fit around a busy family's day.
- 03 The decision
So we decided to build it ourselves.
If the right tool didn't exist, we would make it: the best digital experience for learning Irish, for learners from every walk of life, to use any time and anywhere they want.
